I found this gem while looking through the excellent Fragments while at Barnes and Nobles today. The picture of Marilyn on that cover is arresting, but her mind seems to be as beautiful as she was.

  1. I love this poem. I love the mind it gives us a glimpse into.

    She is a tragic figure, a very unhappy person in many, many ways. I like to think that if she had survived into the 70s and 80s she might have found the freedom to be comfortable in her own skin without playing to an audience.
