A promise — this time, to be fulfilled.

by f

Starting tomorrow, I will be posting on Tyler Clementi and the recent epidemic of suicides among LGBTQ youth. I’d intended on doing this last week, but I started writing and couldn’t stop. There was so much to cover: from Clementi himself to the attitudes of the schools that inspired Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, from Dan Savage to Matthew Shepherd’s mother, from the frenzied media coverage to Assistant Attorney General Shirvell and what this means for acceptance.

There is so much to talk about.

I look forward to seeing you here every day next week, because this is going to be one hell of a ride.

(And I swear this time that it will ACTUALLY happen.)

  1. You queue those entries up NOW.

I’ve been waiting on this one. Kick ass, take names.

  2. I totally agree with D! Go for it, I’m looking forward to them all! And like always, if you think any of the websites/articles bookmarked in my Delicious account can be of help, don’t hesitate to use them. 🙂
